Some people say hypnotherapy does not involve much active participation on the part of the hypnotized person.
This may be correct since the person just need to relax and follow the hypnotherapist’s instructions.
However, it does engage the hypnotized person in some ways. For instance, the person has to use his imagination to think of something, eg. feeling relaxed lying on the beach.
Also, the focused attention on a certain thing is an engagement of the mind.
